Through a process known as "proof of work," one node (the prover) works to solve an arbitrary mathematical puzzle (called the hash), and upon completion the rest of the nodes in the network work to verify the result. Once a majority of nodes (51%) in the network have successfully verified the hash, Binance the new block is then created and chained to the previous block in chronological order.

The only way for changes to be made to a blockchain is for the majority of nodes in the network to come to consensus on a particular change. For this reason, making changes to the blockchain becomes infeasible for any one entity or even a group of entities, given the sheer power consumption, technical capabilities and finances required to operate 51% of the Bitcoin network.
Bitcoin was used at the Silk Road, an infamous online black market that got shut down in 2013. A 2017 paper out of Princeton University found shopping sites often have ads and analytics trackers that can connect customers to their Bitcoin
transactions. Because it's not linked to a central bank, Bitcoin has a reputation for being anonymous and untraceable, but be careful. It's also an area ripe for scams.
"You’re buying Bitcoin

Which seems sort of ideal given how much money ($5bn at current prices) is at stake now. This would allow a ton of innovation to happen around Bitcoin without requiring a lot of change to the underlying Bitcoin system. If "pegs" are added to the core Bitcoin system and software, and if sidechains become popular and viable, then Bitcoin would essentially become the reserve currency of the entire cryptocurrency sector and there would be a host of sidechains and currencies that are pegged to it. It will be interesting to watch how all of this develops over the next year or two.
5) So what if you created "sidechains" that are "pegged" to the Bitcoin blockchain that allow "other things you might want to do" while still leveraging the liquidity and mining of the Bitcoin blockchain?
